July 12, 1930 - April 8, 2013

Priscilla M. Knight, age 82, of Windham, NH passed away April 8, 2013 at her home, embraced by all she loved, after a period of declining health. She was born July 12, 1930 in Haverhill, MA to Melvin F. and Mary Louise (Bodwell) Marsh.

She graduated in 1948 from Woodbury High School, Salem NH. She also graduated from Kathleen Dell Secretarial School, Brookline MA in 1949 and was a member of the Cappa Delta Sigma Sorority. She was employed for a short time at Knightsbridge Mills and Oxford Paper Company, both in Lawrence, MA.

She resided in Salem, NH until 2006 and then moved to Windham NH where she shared a home, in her beloved in-law apartment, with her son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter.

Her life revolved around her adoring family. She enjoyed nothing more than to have them all together sharing stories and laughs while enjoying the food she had lovingly prepared. Knitting was her favorite past-time as she had enjoyed it since childhood and mastered it as a young woman. Many lucky family members and friends received her treasured afghans and sweaters. She would travel a good distance to her favorite yarn shop, The Woolery, in Wilton NH, to get the exact yarn she needed to create her works of art. She was a beautiful ballroom dancer and enjoyed line dancing as well. Some of her favorite memories were of time spent with her dad on the family farm.

She is survived by daughters Marsha K. Caswell and husband Ronald of Lyndeborough, NH, Debra K. Chakarian and husband William of Derry, NH, Kimberly K. Pacheco and husband Daniel of No. Salem, NH, daughter -in-law Jennifer L. (Winmill) Knight of Windham, NH. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Rebecca Chakarian of Derry, NH, Sarah Swan and her husband Mick of Manchester, NH, Emily Lannan and her husband TJ of Derry, NH, Joshua Chakarian and his wife Ruthie of Derry, NH, Jonathan Chakarian of Derry, NH, Melissa Griffin and her husband Ryan, of Salem, NH, Matthew Pacheco and his wife Paige of Salem, NH and her special little love, Jacqueline E. Knight of Windham, NH. She also leaves four great-grandchildren and was looking forward to her fifth this June. In addition she leaves her special and loving friend Norman "Pete" Reynolds, of Salem, NH.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, Frank W. Knight Jr in 1985, her son, Mark W. Knight in 2007, and her brother, Richard V. Marsh in 1999.

The family would also like to extend a special thank you to the caring nurses and staff of Parkland Medical Center, Derry NH who not only nurtured Priscilla, but her entire family as well.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Friday, April 12, 2013, from 4-7pm at the GOUNDREY & DEWHIRST Funeral Home, 42 Main St., Salem, NH. Funeral services are to be held at 10am on Saturday, April 13th, in the Hampstead Congregational Church, 61 Main Street, Hampstead, NH.
