Richard Poirier Sr. 84 of Salem, NH died Monday March 2, 2015 at Holy Family Hospital surrounded by his family. Mr. Poirier was born, raised and educated in Lawrence and has lived in Salem since 1986. Richard served with the US Army during WW II and before retirement, he worked in sales most of his life. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

The widower of Constance Poirier, his family members include his children, Rick Poirier Jr. and his wife Patti, William “Buster” Poirier, Deborah Lister and Jack Riviezzo, Darlene and her husband Paul Levasseur. He also leaves his sister Lorraine and her husband Phil Kerr, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Richard was pre-deceased by his daughter, Patrice Scott.
