I just learned of Arthur's passing. Always a gentleman, I have enjoyed working with him for 25 years as his accountant. I shall miss him.

Arthur and I were close friends and classmates during our younger years both in school and at Grace Episcopal Church in Lawrence, where we served in the boys choir and as alter boys. After reading of his lifetime accomplishments and many friends, it's nice knowing that he had such a successful life and was involved with many efforts aimed at improving the status of others.

In the dictionary, part of the definition of friend is. One attached to another by esteem, respect and affection. Arthur was all of that to a lot of people, I was fortunate enough to be one of those, and I'm proud to have called Arthur my friend. Our sympathy to Carolyn and the family.

Dear Carolyn,

I want to express my deepest condolences for the loss of your husband. I can imagine how difficult it must be right now.

Revelation 21:4 promises us that soon, "God will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more." How we await that time!

You are in my thoughts.
