William E. Nightingale

William (Bill) E. Nightingale passed away on August 2, 2109 at High Point Hospice House surrounded by his family. He was born on August 24, 1937 to Herbert NIghtingale of Lawrence and Florence (Schultz) of Dresden, Germany.

He leaves behind his wife of 61 years Kathleen "Kal" (Hoffman), his 4 siblings; brother Herb and his wife Ronnie, brother's Roy and Fred, and sister Donna and husband Peter McKenna. In addition, he leaves behind his 4 children; Brenda and husband Dr. John Baga of Bloomington, MN, his son Scott and partner Mary Sullivan of Nashua, NH., his son Mark of Methuen, MA., and his daughter Kara and husband Greg Hewett of Methuen, MA. Also his 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Bill completed mechanical design training at Mass Trade School and went on to Lowell Technical School. He worked at Transitron, Raytheon, Dynamic, Ion Physics, High Voltage Engineering and later started his business Pioneer Design. 

His services will be held at Goundrey & Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main St., Salem, NH. on August 17, 2019, 2-4 PM with Eulogy and Readings from 4-5 PM.
