William S. "Bill" Lucey

William “Bill” Lucey of Salem, NH passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 9, 2023, with loving family by his side. Bill was born on February 2nd, 1954, in Malden, MA. Beloved husband of Guixian (Feng), he was the son of the late Marion (Slemmer) and Francis Lucey, and brother to the late Paul Lucey. He leaves behind many family members, including his daughter Stephanie Griffin, son William Lucey and wife Leah, stepson Borui and wife Xiaofang, and his siblings Margaret Haughn, Frank Lucey and wife Sydna, Anne Lustwerk and husband Steve, sister-in-law Karen Lucey, and brothers-in-law Shao qan and Shao fa. Also missing him are his beloved grandchildren Keagen, Mason, Jennybabe, Moah, and Yuyang, and many nieces and nephews.

Bill had a big heart and a big personality to match. He loved his job at the US Postal Service, having worked there for 42 years. He was well-loved by many in his community near and far, and often playfully teased and joked with those he cared for. As an avid sportsman, his hobbies included playing football and street hockey, as well as going ice fishing. He was passionate about watching his beloved Patriots and the Highland Games too. Bill was enthusiastic about adventure, especially when camping or four-wheeling with his family and friends. Even in the midst of health challenges, he made traveling to spend quality time with friends and family a priority. He was fond of cooking up lobster parties and having breakfast with friends. Bill will be remembered for his great sense of humor, generosity, and ability to be a shoulder to lean on for many.

Calling hours are Friday, December 15, 2023 from 5-8 PM at Goundrey Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH 03079.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.  Burial will follow the service in Pine Grove Cemetery in Salem, NH.
