Virginia (Hill) Noel – Atkinson, NH

Virginia (Hill) Noel, age 79, passed away, February 28, 2020, peacefully at her home in Atkinson, NH.  She was born in Bristol, CT on May 18, 1940, and was referred to as “Ginny” by many.

Virginia graduated from Plainville High School in 1958, where she was a member of the cheerleading squad.  She worked at Pentucket Bank in Haverhill, MA for 23 years, before retiring in 2007.

Keeping a meticulous home, and decorating are things Virginia was a natural at.  She had a great eye for detail, and she found joy in decorating everything.  She especially loved decorating gift packages and was a very talented bow maker.  She put so much effort and detail into the presentation of her gifts to people, that they were often viewed as too pretty to open.  She also enjoyed the simple things in life such as, crossword puzzles, watching Red Sox games, and spending time with friends and family.  Each year in June, she looked forward to her annual trip to Chatham, Cape Cod where she spent time making wonderful memories with friends.  Virginia’s family meant the world to her, and she cherished every moment spent with them.  She especially loved spending time with her two granddaughters who she liked to call her “lovies,” and they in return referred to her as “GG.”   She loved them dearly and was so proud of all their accomplishments.  Watching them dance on stage at shows and recitals brought her years of enjoyment.  She was a beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and friend who will be missed dearly.

Virginia was predeceased by her grandparents, Arthur and Hazel Hill, and her mother, Marguerite Hill Perron.  She is survived by her son, David Noel and his wife, Tricia, and her two granddaughters, Megan and Madison Noel, of Canterbury, NH.
