Thomas Joseph Wall – Salem, NH

Thomas Joseph Wall age 91 of Salem, NH and formerly of Medford, MA passed away peacefully on February 3, 2021 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH.  He was born on October 7, 1929 in Somerville, MA the son of the late, Thomas and Catherine (Carew) Wall.  He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1949.  He served two tours of duty in Korea, participating in the Battle of Inchon and the Battle of Chosin Reservoir.  He was awarded a Bronze Star.  He served as a Marine Recruiter in Somerville, MA prior to serving a tour of duty in Viet Nam.  He was awarded a Navy Commendation Medal.  He retired from the Marine Corps as a Gunnery Sergeant in 1969 and was honorably discharged.

He worked as a computer operator at Raytheon Corp. and then at Keydata Corp.

He enjoyed watching the NE Patriots, Red Sox, Boston Bruins and the Celtics.  He had a great sense of humor.  He loved to watch the Benny Hill Show, The Three Stooges, All in the Family, Seinfeld and Home Improvement.  He was our very own “Tim the Tool Man”!  He also enjoyed listening to Irish Music and used to play chess.

Mr. Wall is survived by his wife of 60 years, Anna (Ouellette) Wall of Salem, NH, his daughter, Dianne M. Wall and his son, Michael T. Wall, both of Jaffrey, NH, His sister, Rita E. Wall formerly of Medford and Lexington, MA and currently of Marlborough, MA.  Several nieces and nephews also survive him.  He was also predeceased by his brother, Francis Wall and his sister, Loretta Grant.
