Sonia Marilyn Bagdoian, born on February 25, 1943 quietly went to be with the Lord on April 16, 2026. In the days preceding her passing she was surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Sonia’s early years were spent with her parents, Malcom and Alice Nalbandian, and her older brother Berge. She grew up in the house that her father built in Salem, NH. Her days often consisted of exploring the fields behind her house with her dog Tex, going to the theater to watch cowboy movies with her dad, or helping her mom do laundry in their wringer washing machine. In her final years, she would often watch videos of wringer washers which would bring her tremendous comfort remembering the old days.
In 1960, Sonia graduated from Woodbury High School in Salem, and went on to attend the University of New Hampshire. In 1964, Sonia married the love of her life Jake Alvin Bagdoian. They built a home in Methuen, Massachusetts where they raised their three children, countless dogs, cats, two goats, and a pony. Their home was truly filled with love and laughter.
Sonia worked as a receptionist in a cardiology office. When she retired, she enjoyed shopping, beach days with her family, and anything having to do with horses or dogs. Sonia is survived by her son Jake Bagdoian, her daughter Noelle Bonaccorsi and her husband Edward, and her daughter Allison Brunelle and her husband Thomas. Sonia is also a loving grandmother to Falon Meuse and her fiancé Michael Ferreira, Nicholas Dupuis and his wife Darlene, Jack Brunelle and his wife Geenel, Alec Brunelle, Trey Bonaccorsi, Alanna Brunelle, Rocco Bonaccorsi, and Bella Bonaccorsi. She is also a great grandmother to Anthony Meuse, Kristina Meuse, Julianna Meuse, Amelia Dupuis, Jaxon Dupuis, and Carson Brunelle.
Sonia believed every household needed a dog and her ideal breed was the boxer. Her house consisted of boxer themed decor, with picture frames, magnets, and a real life, great big boxer named Tucker to gre(EAT) you when you arrive!
