Roger B. Rainville – Salem, NH
Roger B. Rainville age 77 of Salem, NH passed away peacefully following a short illness on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Lahey Medical Center in Burlington, MA. He was born on August 18, 1944 in Augusta, ME the son of the late Bernard J. and Florida (Bradbury) Rainville. He was raised and educated in both Wellesley and Newton, MA. He graduated from Newton North High School Class of 1962. He earned an Associate Degree from Burdett Business School in Boston, MA.
Roger worked in the financial services industry his entire career. He started as a clerk at State Street Bank and upon retiring in 2001 he was the President and CEO of the Transfer Agency for Pioneer Investment worldwide.
He enjoyed travelling with his wife, Sylvia. He loved playing golf and he was extremely devoted to his family. He enjoyed a variety of crossword puzzles and SUDOKU games. When asked by people, how are you? Roger’s reply was always……”I never had a bad day in my life”.
Roger is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sylvia L. (Pinkham) Rainville of Salem, NH, his son, Richard K. Rainville and his husband, Joseph Bonanno of Andover, MA, his daughter, Susan M. Bagrowski of Tewksbury, MA, his brothers, David Rainville and wife, Sandi of Duxbury, MA and John “Jay” Rainville and wife, Geraldine of York, ME and his grandchildren, Alexandra Bagrowski, Kenneth Rainville and Jodi Bagrowski.
Calling hours are Friday, November 19, 2021 from 4 – 8 PM at Goundrey & Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH 03079. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
