Robert “Bob” Daniel Morrill, known as Dozer Bob, 56, died on Saturday, December 24, 2022 with his wife by his side following a courageous battle with cancer. Bob was raised in Chester, NH and resided in Salem, NH during his adult years. He was born in Derry, NH on June 24, 1966, the son of the late William G. Morrill and Elizabeth A. (Cole) Morrill. He is survived by his wife, Lisa (Zappala) Morrill; his daughter, Samantha Morrill of Wilmington, NC; his sister, Janet (Morrill) Reeves, her husband James Reeves of Foley, AL, and his stepmother, Cheryl Morrill of Salem, NH. In addition, Bob is survived by his stepchildren, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless close friends that he considered family.
Bob attended Pinkerton Academy in Derry, N.H. and then followed in his father's footsteps as an Operating Engineer with Operator Union Local 4 of Boston serving 34 years. He worked for the Dow Company, Inc. for the last 15 years and ambitiously took on other side projects. He enjoyed and took great pride in his work. Bob was also a thrill seeker who enjoyed racing through the trails on his snowmobile in Pittsburg, NH and Canada, as the mountains of NH were his soulful escape. He spent the summers on his Harley riding through the backroads in Chester and along Rye Beach. Most of all, Bob will be fondly remembered for his loyalty, reliability, and generosity.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Wednesday January 4, 2022 from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Goundrey Dewhirst Funeral Home 42 Main St., Salem, NH.
