Richard Ouellette, Jr. Obituary

Richard P. “Digger” Ouellette, Jr. – Derry, NH

Richard P. "Digger" Ouellette, a man whose deep-rooted faith and infectious humor touched the lives of many, was called home to be with the Lord on November 8, 2025, while resting peacefully in his sleep. Born on July 12, 1950, in the tight-knit community of Derry, NH, Digger lived a life that exemplified the values of hard work, family, and devotion to God. It is with a blend of sorrow and joy that we celebrate his journey on Earth and his transition to eternal life.

Digger's formative years in Derry laid a strong foundation for the remarkable life he led. After graduating from high school, he embraced a career that was more of a calling than a job. As a decorated plumber, Digger poured his heart into his work, serving his community with skill and a smile that made even the mundane seem extraordinary. He was a master of his craft, and his dedication to his profession was evident in every project he undertook.

A man of steadfast faith, Digger's Christian beliefs were the compass by which he navigated life. His relationship with God was not just a Sunday commitment but a daily walk, infusing his every action with love, grace, and a deep sense of purpose. Digger's faith was his bedrock, and he shared this gift through his words and deeds, inspiring those around him to seek a closer relationship with the Creator.

Family was the heart of Digger's world. He was a beacon of love and strength to his beloved daughter Tara, his siblings Carolina, Alfred, Theresa, Montana, Michael, Jedson, Marlena, Adam, Vincent, Christine, Candace, and Kara, and he cherished the memories of his late parents, Richard Sr. and Theresa (Chenell), as well as his siblings Nancy, Daniel, Charlena, and Paul. His life was further enriched by the joy and laughter of his many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Digger's zest for life extended to his passions. An avid fisherman and hunter, he found solace and excitement in the great outdoors, reveling in the beauty of God's creation. He also possessed a deep love for his '62 Panhead, a treasured heirloom from his father that he meticulously cared for throughout his life. This motorcycle was more than a machine; it was a symbol of legacy, freedom, and the open road—a testament to Digger's adventurous spirit.

To know Digger was to know a man who was passionate, faith-filled, and undeniably funny. His laughter was a melody that resonated in the hearts of those who heard it, and his passion for life was as contagious as his humor. He inspired us to live fully, love deeply, and laugh often, always keeping our eyes fixed on the things that truly matter.

As we bid farewell to Richard P. "Digger" Ouellette, let us carry forward the light he shone in this world. May we honor his memory by embracing the virtues he lived by: unwavering faith, boundless love, and a joy that transcends all understanding. Though he has departed from our sight, his spirit remains with us, guiding us like a lighthouse guiding ships to safe harbor. Rest assured, Digger’s legacy will continue to inspire and uplift for generations to come
