Richard W. Miller

Richard W. “Dick” Miller, 85 of Salem, NH passed away peacefully with his sons by his side on Monday, June 3, 2024 at High Pointe Hospice House. Mr. Miller was born on May 1, 1939 in Lawrence, MA. He was the son of the late Walter J. and Ella (Ortstein) Miller.

Richard was raised in Lawrence, MA and was graduated from Lawrence High School with the class of 1956. He was graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and spent his career in pharmacy in Nashua and Hampstead Hospital in Hampstead, NH. Richard was a resident of Salem for over 60 years. He enjoyed traveling throughout North America and Europe. He enjoyed planning every aspect of the trips and itinerary almost as much as the trip itself. He especially loved spending time in the spring, summer and fall at the family cottage on Newfound Lake. He enjoyed spending a lot of his time there updating and remodeling to make it place for family to have many memorable holidays and vacations. If it was a windy day on the lake, he could sometimes be found on his sailboat.

Richard was predeceased by his wife of 62 years Janet. His family members include his two sons Brian and his wife Susan of Derry, NH and Kevin and his wife Tracey of Bridgewater. He also leaves his grandchildren Owen Miller of Bridgewater, Nate Miller and his wife Meg of Manchester, Josh Miller and his fiancé Stevie Rudolph of Nashua, Tate Miller of Bridgewater and Megan Puglise of Nashua as well as great grandchildren, Makaila and Scout Massey, Rafferty Puglise and Elyse Miller. He also leaves his brother David and his wife Karen of The Villages, Florida.

A graveside service will take place for family and friends at 11:00 am on Saturday June 22, 2024 at Pine Grove Cemetery 329 Main Street Salem, NH.  Arrangements are by the Goundrey Dewhirst Funeral Home 42 Main Street Salem, NH.
