Richard Avedisian

Richard Avedisian of Methuen passed away at his home on Sunday September 10, 2023. The son of the late Kachador and Eva Avedisian of Methuen, MA, he was predeceased by his brother Avedis Avedisian of Methuen, Ma, his sister Alice and her husband Haig Abdalian of Belmont, MA and his sister Vera and her husband Nash Garabedian of Salem, NH.

Everyone knew him as Dick. He was a farmer. He loved his work with a passion. His two sons worked with him and were taught “hard work never hurt anyone.” He was a man of the soil.

Dick is survived by his wife of almost 62 years, Eleanor. His sons Richard, Jr., Steven and his wife Wendy, his grandson Adam and his wife Jessica and two great grandsons Luke and Matthew all of Methuen. He also leaves his sister-in-law Rose Avedisian.

There are no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to Funeral services on Friday September 15, 2023 at 10:00 am in Ararat Armenian Congregational Church, 2 Salem St., Salem, NH. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem.

In Lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Dick may be given in honor of his nephew to Charles Abdalian, Jr ALS Research Fund at Mass General Hospital.
