Peter A. Boyle

Peter A. Boyle, 70, of Salem, NH, passed away suddenly on January 13, 2022 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.

 Peter was born on Lawrence, MA on May 27, 1951 to the late Frank and Arline (Coffey) Boyle.  He was a graduate of Austin Preparatory School in Reading, MA, and went on to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Business at the University of New Hampshire.  In 1985, Peter married Elaine and through their marriage, welcomed three children: Tim, Stephanie, and Katie.  Peter worked in the banking industry, rising to become Senior Vice President and dedicating 25 years at First Essex Bank in Lawrence, then a further 15 years at Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union until his retirement in 2014.

 Peter was a devoted husband and father who cherished time spent with his family.  He could often be found watching sports and rooting for New England teams.  He was known for his quick wit, and dry humor with a specialty in telling puns.  Peter had a problem-solving attitude and was always available to offer help and advice to those in need.  Peter’s favorite place was at the beach house in Moody Beach, Maine, where he would relax on the front porch with the ocean view, swim in the Atlantic, and enjoy the authentic seafood.

 Peter is survived by his loving wife, Elaine (Kuchar) Boyle; his children, Tim Boyle of Burlington, VT, Stephanie Boyle of Manchester, NH, and Katie Boyle of Salem, NH; and his sister, Kathy Selevan and her husband Jim of Laguna Beach, CA, and their three children: Michael, Daniel and Adam.  He will be missed by a large extended family of in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

 The family of Peter has chosen to hold a private service.  A Celebration of  His Life will take place at a later date.
