Obituary

Mildred E. (Dufresne) Wall, 87, passed away peacefully September 15. 2022.

Millie was born in Haverhill, MA on April 30, 1935. She has been a resident of Salem, NH for the past 30 years. Millie attended Haverhill High School and in her younger years she worked as a bottom cementer at Little Folks Shoe, Haverhill. She was an avid reader, enjoyed baking and was huge fan of jigsaw puzzles and ice cream.  Her happiest times were those spent with family and friends; they were always greeted with a smile and welcome to take a seat at her table to share coffee, pastries and stories of all kinds.

She was predeceased by her mother and stepfather Marion E. (Demaris) and Cecil Clevesy, her husband David A. Wall, her son Steven M. St. Germaine; she was also predeceased by her sisters and brother-in-law Dorothy (Dufresne) and William Demand, Evelyn (Dufresne) and Michael LaChapelle, brother and sister-in-law Edward and Catherine Dufresne and brother-in-law Norman Marquis.

Millie leaves her daughter and son-in-law Susan M. (St. Germaine) and Eric Hill with whom she made her home, daughter-in-law Christine St. Germaine, brother and sister-in-law Raymond and Helen Dufresne and her sister Jeanette Marquis.

She was a very dear “Nana” to her 8 grandchildren, Jennifer Zarnay and Joseph Gorton, Kate and Christopher Belleau, Elizabeth and Jacob Fuller, Michael and Rosario St. Germaine, Amanda and Mike Comtois, Matthew and Becky St. Germaine, Christopher and Heather St. Germaine, and Kelsey and Billy Shedd-King. She also leaves 23 great grandchildren that she cherished along with many nieces and nephews. “Auntie” Millie always told each of them they were her ‘favorite” and she always made them feel that way.

Millie had a gentle spirit and a kind heart. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
