Mary Rose (Boucher) Murphy – Salem, NH

Mary Rose (Boucher) Murphy, 57 of Salem, passed unexpectedly at home on Saturday, August 12th. She was the Office Manager for 1910 Genetics in Boston, MA.

She was born November 15, 1965 in Methuen, MA to Madeline and Rene Boucher.  She grew up in Methuen, MA and spent her early 20s in Florida before returning to New England to raise her children. She graduated from the Northern Essex Community College School of Nursing with an RN degree. She moved to Tuscan Village in Salem, NH several years ago and enjoyed the community of people she met there. 

Mary leaves behind her son Alex Murphy of Portsmouth, NH and her daughter Kelsey Murphy of Atkinson, NH.  She adored her dog Penny Lane, despite the mischief she always managed to create. She is also survived by her siblings Suzann (McKenzie) Tinney and her husband Harry of Reading, MA, Martha (McKenzie) Sierpina and her husband Raymond of Bradford, MA, Jeannette McKenzie and her husband Red Cohen of Haverhill, MA, Joe Boucher and his wife Michele Perry of Annapolis, MD, and Peter Boucher and his wife Ann of Vancouver, WA, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. In addition to her parents, Mary is predeceased by her sister Julie (McKenzie) Cormier and grandnephew Josh Pajunen.

Calling hours are Monday, August 21, 2023 from 10 AM – 12 PM at the Goundrey Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH 03079.  A funeral service will follow the calling hours at the funeral home at 12:00 PM.  Burial will be private, at the convenience of Mary’s family.
