Mary Barbara Herron

Mary Barbara Herron died on June 18, 2024 at Holy Family Hospital. She was born on April 17, 1939 in Lawrence, MA to the late Edmund and Ida (Gaudet) Arsenault. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1957. As a teacher she taught in Concord, MA, Centerdale, RI, Andover, MA and Salem, NH where she was honored as Teacher of the Year.

She is survived by her sister Gail Arsenault, brothers Richard (Priscilla) Arsenault and Kenneth (Carolyn) Arsenault, stepdaughters Linda Hugo, Beth Nault, Sally Gagne, Megan Herron, stepson Andrew Belanger and their families.

She leaves several step grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her husband Herbert W. Herron and her stepdaughter Pauline Herron Duke.

There are no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday July 9, 2024 at 11:00 am at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence Rd, Salem, NH. Donations may be made to Saints Mary and Joseph Parish, 33 Main St, Salem, NH 03079 or Holy Union Sisters, 205 Bedford St, Fall River, MA 02720.
