Laureat Pelletier, 77 of Salem, NH passed away Wednesday July 10th, 2024 in his home on Winter St., Salem, NH. Larry was born on July 14th, 1946 in Notre Dame Du Lac, Quebec, Canada and was raised and educated in St.-Jean de Lande and St. Rose De Geles, Quebec, Canada. He has been a resident of Salem for the past 9 years.

Larry came to the United States in 1968 at the age of 21 to Lawrence, MA where he met his wife, Gisele Pelletier. Larry completed his education at Lawrence High School in night classes. He worked a variety of jobs until he came to Western Electric where he stayed for 22 years while the company changed names to AT&T, and eventually Lucent Technologies.

Larry was self-taught with his musical instruments and craft. He loved music in all forms, people, birds and small creatures, and truly enjoyed getting a person to smile and laugh with his sense of humor. He was a devoted husband, loving father, brother, pepere, uncle, and friend. He is predeceased by his mother, Marie Anne Pelletier, and father, Cerylle Pelletier, his sister, Rosanne Cyr. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gisele Pelletier, his sons, Sylvain, Richard, and Larry Pelletier, his daughter, Lisa O’Keefe, and his grandchildren, Ryan, Jack, Erin Isabella, and Will O’Keefe. 

Calling hours are Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 9 - 11 AM at Goundrey Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH 03079. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at the funeral home at 11 AM. Burial will follow the funeral service in Pine Grove Cemetery in Salem, NH.
