She was born on December 13, 1962 in Methuen, MA the daughter of the late, George and Mary (Boucher) Faucher. She was raised and educated in Methuen, MA and graduated from Methuen High School in 1980.
She owned and operated a residential cleaning business and built her business by word of mouth from satisfied clients. Many of her ‘clients’ became extended family to her. She took extreme pride in her business and her work.
Karen loved gardening and had a “green thumb”. She maintained and took pride in her flower beds and vegetable garden. At one point she had over 96 tomato plants of various types. Her passion was working in her yard and her home. She also enjoyed the shooting sports and was a life member of the NRA. As a younger woman she enjoyed spending time out on the water riding her Jet Ski. She had coached girl’s softball and had served on the Board of Directors of the Salem Girls Softball League for many years. Karen was also a huge Boston Red Sox fan. She enjoyed watching the Red Sox on TV and listening Rem Dog broadcasting the game. Karen’s bought with cancer spanned twenty years. The last being over two years. She always counted her blessings. Karen was thankful for her treatment at Dana Barber, Brigham and Woman’s. She would save each Hospital bracelet and consider each a blessing with over 150 visits she made to the Boston hospitals with her husband by her side. Karen was a communicant at All Saints Parish, Haverhill, MA. She enjoyed reading the Bible and would discuss readings from scripture with her sister Debbie and her brother in law Frank. Karen watched mass nightly and prayed the rosary daily. Karen enjoyed going to the beach at all times of the year.
