June Lilley Obituary

June J. Lilley, a longtime resident of Salem, NH suddenly passed on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, in the comforts of her home. June was the wonderful daughter of the late William C. Lilley and Jane (Krawiec) Lilley.

She leaves behind her right hand man and loving son, Joseph Gorton III, a beautiful daughter, Channa Gorton, a handsome hard working son, Daren Wedge, and supportive cousin, Lois.
June also was a grandmother to her 4 grandchildren, Kameren, Kianna, Melody and Brandi Mass, all of Salem; Many other loved ones including all of her other "A-Team" members that absolutely adored JuneBug! June was currently employed as a Certified Senior Sales Associate in the same location in Salem for 19 years. She outlasted Store24, Tedeschi Food Shops and continued on to 7-Eleven.

Some would say "Oh, June came with the building!" "JunieBaby" had quite the following of loyal customers throughout the years including the "Coffee Club" guys and others that have moved out of state but always make it a point to pop in and take her out for a nice dinner! Her co-workers truly adored her; her name tattooed forever on some the very next day in her honor!

June was full of motivational quotes. She would often say "I could run rings around you young man so get a move on it!" or "Never stop a working man because you'll never get him going again!" Her "to-do" lists were something of an owners-manual and if the task wasn't handled correctly, you definitely didn't read her very detailed "how to" instructions! One co-worker stated "Even when June was not feeling well she still took the time to decorate my yard for my birthday, she was one of a kind!" She took great pride in her work and it surely didn't go unnoticed!

In previous years, June could be found turning heads while muckin' stalls barefoot at Rockingham Park and Suffolk Downs race tracks, where she was also loved dearly! This woman made such an impact on everyone she came in contact with! Not only was she a hard worker, she was the "glue holding everything together", an amazing grandmother, a loving mother, a loyal friend, a role model, an inspiration and our FAMILY!

June's world revolved around her 4 grandchildren, Kameren, Kianna, Melody and Brandi. She would most often be seen with one or more in tow! It was very evident that she loved those babies more than life itself! June would go without just to make sure they were happy and all of their needs were met, including a loving home! June's love for horse racing went hand in hand with her love for all animals! The woman could not just say "no" to any critters in need!! Actually, I'm fairly certain she would rescue a mosquito if she could!

June is definitely well known in the community for all the good things she would do for even a perfect stranger. Those who had the pleasure of knowing JuneBug almost instantly felt that this woman would move heaven and earth for ANYONE she loved!
