June Collins Obituary

June Alice Theresa Bedard was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts March 6, 1945 as the sixth child of Cecile A. Langevin and Wilfred J. Bedard. She was predeceased by a brother Norman in WWII, sisters, Pauline, 6-5-2006, Loraine in 1988, Carol on 2-5-2017, Doris on 7-24-2017.

June spent several years working at Novelty Stay Shoe in Haverhill. She married in 1963 and moved to Salem, New Hampshire and worked for Consolidated Plastechs in Hampstead, NH for a few years and then spent many years working for Kmart in Salem, New Hampshire until retiring in 2008. June enjoyed playing cards when her sisters visited from Florida in the summer. She also enjoyed playing Keno with friends and former co-workers from Kmart.

June met her future husband Ron at Skateland in Haverhill, Massachusetts in July of 1957. It was "Love at first sight” for them both. Ron was on an outing from the Old Stone Church in North Salem, New Hampshire. Ron has always told anyone that would listen that he believed God sent him there to meet his June. They have shared 63 wonderful years as a loving couple and 56 years as husband and wife with two sons Ronald, Jr and Robert Allen. At 77 it will be extremely difficult for Ron, Sr. to cope with the devastating loss of his beloved "June Bug" due to the dreaded Alzheimer's disease. June nearly lost Ron Sr. to lymphoma in July of 2012 but with a lot of love and prayers and six rounds of Chemotherapy, Ron was blessed with his beloved "June" for eight more years.

She passed in his loving arms at 3:30 in the afternoon on February 23 of 2020 in the presence of his oldest son Ron Jr. She will be greatly missed and is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ron , sons, Ron Jr. and Rob; daughter-in-law, Isaura; grandchildren, Ronnie, Breanne & Andrew & great-grandchild, Kyle. She will be remembered at a private family service for her immediate family.
