Joseph M. Habib

Joseph M. Habib, age 86, of Salem, NH passed away on Saturday, September 28th at The Residence at Salem Woods in Salem.  

Joseph was born on December 6th, 1932 in Lawrence, MA.  He was a graduate of Lawrence High School and Lowell Tech, and also served his country in the Army as a member of the US Armed Forces.  He was an engineer for 30 years at Western Electric, AT&T and Lucent Technologies.  Joe's hobbies included camping, racquetball, tennis, gardening, cooking, and traveling with his family.  He especially enjoyed spending time at his condo on Hampton Beach.   

Joe was predeceased by his wife, Janice Habib, his son Christopher Habib, his brother George Habib, and his sister Elaine Chatigney.  He is survived by his son Jonathan Habib, daughter-in-law Paula Habib, and his beloved grandsons Nicholas and Lucas Habib.  On Joseph's behalf, his family would like to thank the staff of The Residence at Salem Woods for making his final days as comfortable as possible.  

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 5th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Goundrey & Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH, with cremation to follow.  Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
