Joseph L. George – Salem, NH

Joseph L. George, age 86, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2026. He was born on November 9, 1939.

Joe was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Peggy, who passed away in 2020. After a lifetime of love and devotion, they are together again.

He grew up in the Merrimack Valley and attended school in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Over the years, Joseph worked at Converse Rubber and Malden Mills. He also served as a custodian in the Melrose School District, where his hard work and dedication were appreciated by many.

Joe is survived by his daughter Julie Schwarz and her husband, Rob, of Florida; his daughter Kim Yap and her husband, Abe, of California; and his grandchildren Emily and her husband, Luis, of Florida, as well as Aidan and Kayla, of California.

A graveside service will be held this summer in Salem, New Hampshire.

Joe will be remembered for his years of hard work, his devotion to his family, and the quiet legacy of love he leaves behind.
