Joseph H. Drouin, Jr.

Joseph H. Drouin Jr., of Salem, NH, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, August 31, 2024. 

Born in Lawrence, MA he was the son of the late Joseph H. Drouin, Sr. and the late Veronica (Morin) Drouin. He was educated in the Lawrence, MA School District.

Joseph was a very talented Master Carpenter and had a passion for craftmanship. He was a member of the New England Carpenters Union #339 and Florida Carpenters Union #140 until his retirement. Aside from many freelance jobs, Joseph enjoyed helping family and friends with their carpentry projects. He took pride in his work and would always point out and tell stories of local businesses and buildings he had worked on.

As the patriarch of the Drouin family, Joseph loved and cherished his family. He was such a proud dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, uncle and brother- In-law. He Is survived by his son Michael J. Drouin and his wife Lynda, grandchildren Alyssa Caruso, Myah Drouin and Michael P. Drouin, great-grandson Jackson Caruso, nieces and nephews, Dana, Joseph, Jessica and Jennifer Pappalardo, Danielle, Samantha and Nick Pinheiro, Dean, Dionne and Mackenzi Drouin and his Sister In-law Gail Drouin.

He was predeceased in death by his son Paul A. Drouin, wife Gloria Drouin and brother Robert K. Drouin.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday September 5, 2024 from 5pm to 7 pm at the Goundrey Dewhirst Funeral Home 42 Main St., Salem, NH. Funeral services will be on Friday September 6 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his honor to The Ingram Senior Center, 1 Sally Sweet Way, Salem, NH 03079.
