John "Jay" Glizynski, 76, lifelong resident of Pelham, NH, passed peacefully on Saturday February 22 with his loving family by his side. Born October 17, 1943, Jay was the beloved husband of the late Claudette (Talbot) Glizynski and devoted son of the late Joseph and Hedwig Glizynski.
He is survived by his brother, Joseph Glizynski; niece, who was like a daughter to him, Kerryn Talbot-Brunelle and her husband Paul; brother-in-law Robert E. Talbot, Jr. and his wife Joan; brother-in-law Edward Talbot and his wife Gail; nieces Lynne Talbot-Taylor and her husband Eric; Michelle Talbot; Stacy (Talbot) Haley and her husband Bill; Bethany (Talbot) Mesiti and her husband David and nephew Robert "Tripp" Talbot, III and his wife Michele; and great-nieces Caitlyn and Madeline and great-nephews Samuel, Ryan, Benjamin, Alex, Gabriel and Andrew; along with several cousins.
Following his graduation from Tenney High School in Methuen, MA, he proudly served in the US Army and was stationed in Okinawa Japan and then completed his years at Fort Bliss (White Sands) in Texas where he specialized in missile repairs. After his service, he designed circuit boards for Bose Corporation and drove an escort vehicle for Williams Scotsman.
Jay always looked forward to traveling to his camp in Alaska where he enjoyed sight-seeing, gold panning and fishing with his father, brother and cousin, Jim. He enjoyed snowmobiling with friends and loved fly and ice fishing, always trying for the big catch during the Winnipesaukee Fishing Derby. As an avid car enthusiast, he faithfully watched and attended NASCAR races, going to Barrett Jackson car auctions and taking long rides on a sunny day, even if it meant driving 3 hours for the perfect hot dog. It didn't matter if he won or lost, he really cherished his day trips to the casinos with his longtime friend Ed Gacek.
His true love and late wife, Claudette, has been waiting patiently for 31 years to go on one of those rides and rest in eternal peace with Jay.
