Joanne Musculus – Derry, NH

Joanne Musculus, 61, of Derry, NH passed away on February 13, 2024, at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH from health complications.

Joanne worked very hard as an auditor for the State of Massachusetts, before retiring in 2023. In her spare time, she loved to watch movies and play BINGO. She also enjoyed Salsa dancing and participated in many competitions and conferences. Joanne always found humor and joy in the world, and her laughter was infectious.

Joanne was the devoted daughter of the late William J. and the late Joanne H. (Keiderling) Musculus, and sister to Michelle Patterson and the late William P. Musculus. The bond between her siblings was strong and she cherished them both so deeply.

Devoted mother to Janelle Barinelli (m. Vincenzo Barinelli), Julianne Smith (m. Derek Smith), and Jonathan Bouzerdan. Joanne was always so proud of her triplets and would always say that she loved them more than they could ever know.

Joanne is survived by the father of her children, Apollon H. Bouzerdan, his wife, Camelia, and their son, Joshua. She enjoyed spending the holidays and special occasions with them and viewed them as great friends. Joanne was very happy to be a part of her nontraditional blended family.

Joanne is also survived by nephew, Joseph Musculus, niece Amanda Floyd, a great niece, great nephews, cousins, and friends. She loved her people fiercely and held them in her heart always.

Calling hours are Friday, February 23, 2024, from 3 – 5:30 PM at Goundrey Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH 03079. A Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 5:30 PM at the funeral home.
