Jeannette C. Cline

Jeanette C. (St. Hilaire) Routhier Wiggin Cline of Salem, New Hampshire passed away on Tuesday August 13, 2024 at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhil surrounded by her loving family. Jeanette was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of the late Leontine Gaudet and Simeon St. Hilaire.

Jeannette attended schools in Lawrence, Mass and after raising her family, she attended Northern Essex Community College and earned her associates degree. Jeanette was a gentle soul who raised seven children as well as fostering several others. She was a member of Saint Joseph's Parish in Salem, New Hampshire and later in life, a member of Salem Bible Church.

She loved the Lord, had intense faith, and hosted and attended numerous Bible studies. She loved to travel and enjoyed many wonderful adventures.

Jeanette enjoyed crocheting, swimming, puzzles, camping, cooking, music (Patsy Cline, music of her era, her favorite song “How Great Thou Art “) and playing card games. She was very family oriented making sure everyone had something to eat when visiting her. She dearly loved her 16 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

Jeanette is survived by her children: Steven Routhier of Garner, NC; Joyce Mazalewski (Steve) of Orefield, PA; Michael Routhier (Lynn) of Salem, NH; Kenneth Routhier (Dorothy) of Kingston, NH; Carolyn Gaudette (Steve) of Salem, NH; Scott Routhier (Cindy) of Celebration, FL; Peter Routhier of Salem, NH. She also leaves her siblings Richard St Hilaire of Methuen, MA, Evelyn St.Hilaire spouse of Robert of Haverhill, MA and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by sisters Florence, Pauline, Loretta, Theresa, Helen as well as her brothers Marcel, Paul, Raymond, Robert, and the father of her children, Roland Routhier. Jeannette was also predeceased by her spouses Arthur Wiggin and Gene Cline, and her daughter- in-law Kathy Routhier.

Her family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at High Pointe House in Haverhill who took excellent care of Jeanette in her final days as well as the staff at Windham Terrace who loved and cared for her these last few months.

Family and friends are invited to an hour of visitation, Wednesday August 28, 2024 at Saint Joseph Church, 40 Main St, Salem, NH 03079 beginning at 8:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow the Funeral Mass at Pine Grove Cemetery in Salem, NH.
