Jeanne J. Asselin – Kingston, NH
Jeanne Juliette (Bailey) Asselin, 81, of Kingston, NH passed away on December 29, 2023 after her battle with dementia.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, Jeanne lived most of her life in Salem, NH. She married Gerard “Jerry” P. Asselin in October of 1960, having one child, Julie Anne in October of 1961. She became a widow upon Gerard’s passing in 2014.
Jeanne was a bookkeeper for most of her career working at Merrimack Valley Wood Products of Methuen, MA. She enjoyed numerous island vacations with friends over the years and upon retirement, she and Jerry were able to complete a trip across the U.S. in their motor home. For several years, Jeanne and Jerry enjoyed “snow birding” to Florida before once again settling permanently in New Hampshire. She also enjoyed trips and car shows with their 1956 Oldsmobile.
Jeanne had numerous hobbies including crocheting, crafts, and ceramics. She also loved to restore furniture and was always working on home improvements.
Survived and lovingly remembered by, her daughter, Julie A. Bedrosian, married to Robert Bedrosian of Sandown, NH, grandchildren, Derek Bedrosian, married to Kerri Bedrosian of Auburn, NH, Stephanie Turcotte, married to Joel Turcotte of Greenland, NH, great-grandchildren, Oliver, Harper, Alexandra, Nora and Jack who she treasured, sister Lucille Rondeau of Derry, NH, and brother Paul of Dracut, MA. Jeanne was predeceased by her father, Raymond J., her mother, Juliette G. (Lussier), and brother Donald A. Bailey.
Calling hours are Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 3 – 5 PM at Goundrey Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH 03079.
