Jean-Louis Morin Obituary

Jean-Louis Morin, affectionately known as Jean to his friends and family, passed away peacefully at Boston Medical Center, Brighton on January 24, 2026, after a brief illness. Born on July 4, 1948, in the quaint town of Packington, Quebec, Jean was a man whose robust laughter and twinkling eyes were as much a part of him as his love for the great outdoors.

Jean was the beloved son of Paul-Eugene Morin and Fernande Caron. His life was a tapestry of close-knit family ties, including his cherished wife, Debbie, with whom he shared countless memories and adventures. He was a proud father to his son, Eric, and his daughter-in-law, Jennifer, and a proud grandfather to his two grandchildren, Jesse and Alexa Morin.

He was a brother to Pauline Ducas and her husband Leonald and shared a unique bond with his siblings Gaetan Morin, Jean-Noel Morin and his wife Leona, Viateur Morin and his wife Rela, Bernard Morin and his wife Lori, and Yves Nadeau and his wife Vicki. Jean was predeceased by his brother Origene and sister Bernadette. His numerous nieces and nephews also held a special place in his heart, each of them touched by his generosity and spirited nature.

Jean's work as a lumberjack in his earlier years and later as a Union Carpenter for 45 years showcased his remarkable work ethic and craftsmanship.

Jean's interests were as vibrant and diverse as his personality. He relished trips back to Canada where he could ride his "toys" and enjoy the simple pleasure of sitting on the back porch, taking in the beauty of nature. He had an active spirit and loved adding lights to anything with wheels and tinkering on anything that had a motor. His friends at Market Basket and Dunkin Donuts will fondly remember their coffee gatherings, filled with laughter and camaraderie.

A lover of Dairy Queen treats, ATV rides, snow mobiles, Jean never lost his boyish enthusiasm for life's simple joys. His collection of Harley motorcycles and antique cars was more than a hobby; it was a testament to his adventurous spirit and his appreciation for freedom and the open road.

Jean's departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his zest for life and the countless memories he created will continue to inspire and comfort his family and friends. As we bid farewell to Jean-Louis Morin, we celebrate a life well-lived, a life filled with love, hard work, and the pursuit of happiness. His spirit will forever ride on in the hearts of those who loved him.
