Jane M. (Chaisson) Houle – Salem, NH

Age 75 of Salem, NH passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at High Point Hospice House in Haverhill, MA.  She was born on August 27, 1945 in Lawrence, MA the daughter of the late, Arthur J. and Rita I. (Shevlin) Chaisson.  She was raised and educated in Lawrence, MA and graduated from Lawrence High School.

Jane worked as a Supervisor at the IRS in Andover, MA for many years and retired in 2008.

She spent every summer with family on Bow Lake in Strafford, NH. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and her grandchildren.

Jane was predeceased by her husband, Joseph R. Houle in 2015.  She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Houle and wife, Michelle of Derry, NH, James Houle and wife Sandra of Salem, NH and Jonathan Houle and wife, Nicole of Methuen, MA, her brothers, James J. Chaisson and wife, Marry Ellen of Haverhill, MA and Francis Chaisson and wife, Paula of Salem, NH, her sister-in-law, Irene Chaisson of Epping, NH, her grandchildren, Amy Deprey, Erin Houle, Robert Houle, Steven Judkins, Phoenix Leger, Sophia Tellier and Olivia Houle, and her great-grandson, Reed Eddy.  Several nieces and nephews also survive her.  Jane was also predeceased by her brother Robert Chaisson.

Calling hours are Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from 10 AM – 12 PM at Goundrey & Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH 03079.  Funeral Services will take place following the calling hours in the funeral home at 12:00 PM.  Burial will follow the funeral service in Pine Grove Cemetery in Salem, NH.  In-lieu of flowers, donations are requested to:  Hopeful Journeys, 28 Tozer Road, Beverly, MA 01915.  Please visit www.goundreydewhirstfuneral.com for directions or to sign the online guest book.
