Ginette C. Chouinard

Ginette C (Ouellet) Chouinard, 67 of Salem, NH peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on June 6, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 8, 1953 in St.Eusebe Quebec, Canada to the late Alida (Leblanc) Ouellet and late Richard Ouellet. Ginette was a long time resident of Salem, New Hampshire.

She was the devoted wife to the love of her life and best friend Clermont for 45 years. They loved to take long car rides, stroll the mall at Christmas, but most of all just being in each other's company.

 She was a loving mother to Karen Chouinard and her partner Alexander Huard of Deerfield, NH; Kenny Chouinard  and his wife Erin of South Boston, MA.  She treasured her grandchildren Gavin Ward of Deerfield, NH and Molly Chouinard of South Boston, MA and step-grandsons Aidan, Logan and Owen Huard of Deerfield, NH.

Ginette leaves behind her siblings Gerald and the late Louiselle Ouellet of Montreal Quebec, Canada; Roma Ouellet and Madeleine Chouinard of Riviere du Loup Quebec, Canada, the late Christiane and Remi Bosse of St-Eusebe Quebec, Canada; Johanne Ouellet of Salem NH; Bruno Ouellet and Collette Maynard of Montreal Quebec, Canada; Normand Ouellet and Isabelle Lavigne of Montreal Quebec, Canada; Chantal Ouellet and Francis Rodrigue of Montreal Quebec, Canada. She also leaves behind her God daughter Paige Ouellet- Rodrigue and many nieces and nephews.

Ginette was the heart and soul of her family. Her meat and brown sugar pies, chocolate cake were a tradition her family would enjoy every holiday. She wouldn’t sit down to eat until she knew all around her were taken care of. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, watching sports, crossword puzzles, and taking road trips to visit family and friends in both Florida and Canada.   She was an exceptional seamstress, cook and baker.  She loved to watch and cheer on her grandchildren at any sport or activity they were involved in. Her greatest happiness came from having her house full of friends and family; enjoying food, sharing stories, and laughing,
