Frederick J. Jones, Jr

Frederick J. Jones, Jr, 80 of Salem, NH passed away on Thursday March 12, 2020 at Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH.  Mr. Jones was born in Lawrence the son of Frederick J Jones, Sr and Yvonne (Ouellette) Jones.  He was a graduate of Lawrence High School with the class of 1957.  Fred lived in Methuen most of his life before moving to Salem, NH.

Before retirement, Fred worked as a metal finisher at Craig Systems and also served as a chief union steward with IBEW.  Fred enjoyed camping with his family and friends and was an avid music lover.  He loved playing horseshoes, bowling and fishing and also enjoyed playing 45’s.

His family members include his wife Florence M. (Daneau) Jones and his son Frederick J. Jones, lll. Fred also leaves his grandchildren, Christina and her husband Derek Pelletier, Amanda Moreau, Matthew Moreau  and Christopher and Tyler Jones as well as his great grandchildren Gabriella and Hunter Masse and Ryleigh Pelletier and his son-in-law, Steven Moreau.  Fred was affectionately called uncle sonny by his nieces and nephews.   He was predeceased by his daughters Laurie Jean Jones and Cynthia Ann Moreau and was also predeceased by his sisters Judith A. (Merrrill) Verville and Sandra (Janvrin) Panebianco.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday March 19, 2020 from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Goundrey & Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street Salem, NH.  Funeral services will be on Friday March 20 at 11:00 am at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
