Evelyn was the youngest of six children born to Donat and Lena (Mercier) Guay.
Evelyn was raised and educated in Lawrence and held many jobs until her marriage in 1956. She loved roller skating and a chance meeting at the roller skating rink would lead to her eventual 58 year marriage to Raymond Sarcione.
Their partnership brought 4 children into the world. They enjoyed candlepin bowling, playing cards and casino trips, but the highlight of their travel experiences included a journey to Italy to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
“Evie,” as she was fondly known in Senior Circles, was always willing to help others. She was also a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Mary Queen of Peace Church in Salem. She was also a fixture on the Local Bingo circuit. Evie loved being active and socializing with friends and family.
Aside from her four children, she was blessed and loved to spoil her 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Her family members include her sons Richard and his wife Cynthia of Hilton Head Island, SC., Raymond and his wife Jenifer of Seabrook NH, her daughters Sharon Toshach and Lisa Martineau and her husband Ronald, both of Salem, NH. She also also leaves her sisters- in- law Arlene Guay of North Carolina and Louise Guay of Lawrence as well as her step-brothers Edward and Jean Guay and many nieces and nephews and a lifetime of wonderful friends.
