Eric F Parthum

Eric F. Parthum, D.M.D., 84, of New Hampshire, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024, with his loving family by his side.  He was born on June 23, 1940, in Lawrence MA, the beloved son of Edward Jr. and Helen (Clark) Parthum.  Eric was known for his quiet strength, boundless generosity, and unwavering love.

He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1957 and went on to earn a degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1961. After that he attended Tufts University Dental School, where he graduated in 1965, ready to embark on a career that would span four decades.

Eric served his country with honor in the US Navy from 1965 to 1967. He was a member of the Holy Family Men’s Guild, served on the vestry at both St. Augustine’s and St. Peter’s churches, and was a member of the Berkley Retirement Board of Directors. His commitment to the community extended to the British Club, The American Legion and the Lawrence High School Alumni Association, where he served as past president.

Eric was a man of many passions. He was an avid gardener, loved playing the card game 45’s, spending time with his grandchildren and traveling with his family.  He and his wife have fond memories from their travels with Old New England Tours.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 60 years Jane (Dunn), his daughters Pamela (Dennis) Haskin, Deborah Hollins, Kimberly (Eric) Parthum-Weiss, and Erica (Charles) Parthum Leitzell; his grandchildren Dennis Jr. (Hannah), Benjamin, Zachary, Sydnie, Hannah, Owen, Alexa, Isabel and Harrison; and great-grandchildren Forrest, Noah and Wren; his siblings Edward (Catherine) Parthum III, Gayle (Evan) Williams and Richard (Donna-gail) Parthum and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Clarice, his father Edward Jr., and his mother Helen.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Lawrence General Hospital.  In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations be sent to St. Peter’s Church, Londonderry, NH or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.

Relatives and Friends are cordially invited to calling hours to be held Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 11:00AM to 12:00PM at St. Peter Episcopal Church, 3 Peabody Row, Londonderry, NH. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 12 noon at St. Peter Episcopal Church, Londonderry, NH.
