Elizabeth (Cookman) Ainscow

Elizabeth Cookman Ainscow, 96 years old, passed away on August 10, 2020 at 8am at Aviva Nursing Home in Sarasota, FL.  She was born in Glendale, CA to Alfred and Rebecca Cookman. She is survived by her 2 sisters, Marilyn Cookman Barrow & Sylvia Cookman Hnat, and is predeceased by her sister Dorothy Fay Sprague.

Elizabeth attended Vail Deane Girls School in New Jersey. After graduating Vail Deane she went on to The American School of Design.

Elizabeth is survived by her children Virigina Brown Sweder, Sharon Brown Liederhouse, William A Ainscow, Cathryn Ainscow Payne, David Andrew Ainscow, as well as 12 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. She will be buried next to her son, Douglas Ainscow, and her beloved husband of 66 years, George W Ainscow at West Parish Church Cemetery.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 9:30AM at the Goundrey & Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main St. Salem, NH 03079. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to calling hours Saturday from 8:30AM to 9:30AM at the funeral home.
