Dorothy A. (Barberian) Farnell – Sandown, NH

Dorothy A. (Barberian) Farnell, 82, of Sandown, NH, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2023, surrounded by her family. 

Dotty, as she was known by her friends and family, was born on September 10, 1940, in Framingham, MA, to Richard and Lillian Barberian. She grew up in Cambridge, MA, and later moved to Salem, NH, where she resided for 50 years before moving to Sandown, NH.  

Dotty loved playing bingo, cards, poker and trips to Foxwoods Casino. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting and making homemade photo videos on her computer for her family. 

Dotty’s family members include her daughter Sherry Croteau of Methuen, MA; daughter Kim Thompson and son-in-law Chris of Seabrook, NH; stepson Kenny Farnell and his wife Lisa of Redondo Beach, CA; granddaughter Taryn Stowell and her husband Craig of Sandown, NH; grandchildren Christian, Chad and Casey Thompson of Seabrook, NH; and great-grandchildren Logan, Kendall and Chase Stowell of Sandown, NH. Dotty was predeceased by her husband Kenny Farnell and her son Brian Farnell. 

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Goundrey & Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH 03079.
