Deborah A. Godson – Plaistow, NH

Deborah A. Godson, 68, of Plaistow, NH passed away on January 12, 2023 at Station Exchange Senior Care in Richmond Hill, GA.

Deb was born on November 1, 1954 in Waltham, MA. Deb was the daughter of the late William and Irma Walsh.

Deb grew up in Billerica, MA and moved to New Hampshire after graduation from Billerica Memorial High School.  Deb was a realtor in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts for many years.  Deb played tennis and enjoyed her many friendships.  Deb married Lloyd Godson in 2005. They were happily married and traveled extensively. Deb was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease in 2018. Deb will be remembered for her love of life, family and friends.

Deb is survived by her Husband Lloyd Godson of Plaistow, NH, her son Michael McCarthy, Jr. of Nashville, TN, her grandson Michael McCarthy III of Rochester, NH, and her stepson Lloyd Godson II and his Wife Lena of Brighton, MA. Deb was predeceased by her parents, her sisters Susan Bishop and Maralyn McMinn, and her stepson Christopher Godson.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Thursday January 19, 2023 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Goundrey & Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH 03079.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Plaistow Town Cemetery. Donations to the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund is encouraged in lieu of flowers.
