David A. Alexander

David A. Alexander – Methuen, MA

On Wednesday, December 7, 2022, David A. Alexander, devoted husband, brother, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 67 after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer.

David was born on August 2, 1955, to Frances and Deane Alexander in Kane, Pennsylvania. Growing up in Tewksbury, MA, he was the oldest of 4 siblings; Paula, Thomas, and MaryLou. He enlisted into the U.S. Navy where he worked on submarine tenders in San Diego. Following his enlistment, he returned home to Tewksbury. He worked in many technical industries as he has an affinity towards helping others by solving their technological problems. It was during his work at Wang Laboratories that he met his gorgeous and hilarious soulmate, Nancy. They married in 1981. Together, they raised a wonderful and kind son, Christopher David Alexander. Over the 42 blissful years that David and Nancy were married, David enjoyed playing weekly card games on Wednesday nights with Nancy, Christopher, and daughter-in-law, Lisana. Games often alternated between cribbage and forty-fives. As an avid golfer, most days were spent at the golf course and then relaxing in his backyard, listening to the Red Sox, grilling something up, and sipping bourbon. As a self-proclaimed foodie, David always had a cooking show on TV and enjoyed trying new recipes for his family and friends. When there wasn’t a cooking show on, David tuned into the New England sports teams and rooted for them to win championships. David’s greatest joy in life was his grandsons, Deven and Logan. He had never been happier than when they were around. Forever having an angel worry stone in his pocket and saying, “I love you” at the end of every phone call embodies just the type of man he was.

David is predeceased by his mother and father, Frances and Deane Alexander.

He is survived by the love of his life, Nancy (Fedorchuk) Alexander, his son Christopher and daughter-in-law Lisana Alexander of Salem NH, with two beloved grandsons Deven and Logan Alexander. He is also survived by his sister Paula and her husband Timothy Tyson of Lowell, his brother Thomas and wife Sydney Alexander of Sparrows Point Maryland, and sister MaryLou and her husband Peter Francis of Lowell. David will be forever loved and remembered by his many extended family members and friends as a loving, playful, and warm-hearted soul; may he rest in peace.
