With deep sorrow and gratitude for a life filled with faith, love, and service, we announce the passing of Confesora "Connie" Santana on June 1, 2026.
Born in Santiago, Dominican Republic, on March 25, 1961, Connie later made her home in Methuen, Massachusetts, where she dedicated her life to her family, her church, and her community.
Throughout her life, Connie was known for her strong work ethic, compassion, and determination. Her career included serving as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), cosmetologist, phlebotomist, doctor's assistant, travel agent, gardener, and medical evaluator for immigration cases. In every role, she touched lives through her kindness and willingness to help others.
Connie's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife to Fernando Santana, a loving mother to Jovanny Santana and Reynaldo Santana, Sr., and a cherished mother-in-law to Yashira Santiago and Jessica Godoy. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Evanny Santana, Emma Santana, and Reynaldo Santana Jr., who brought immense happiness to her life.
She is also survived by her beloved siblings: Pedro Lopez, Estela Lopez, Felipe Lopez, Rafael Lopez, Leo Lopez, Germania Lopez, and Benita Lopez. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rubencinda Lopez and Ramon Peña.
A faithful member of Congregación Mita, Connie devoted many years to serving God and her church family through music, ministry, and community service. Her unwavering faith guided every aspect of her life and inspired all who knew her.
Connie will be remembered for her generous spirit, servant's heart, and unconditional love. Her legacy of faith, perseverance, humility, and compassion will continue to live on through her family, friends, church community, and all those whose lives she touched.
"Well done, good and faithful servant." — Matthew 25:23
Connie's memory will forever remain in our hearts.
