Claudia Maguder Obituary

Claudia A. Maguder, age 82 of Salem, NH, passed away on Wednesday, March 5th, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 14th, 1942, in Lowell, MA the daughter of the late, Clifford and Olive (Franklin) Watson. She graduated from Lawrence High School, Lawrence, MA and later received her certification in religious education. Claudia taught CCD for many years and then later managed the religious education program for Sacred Heart Church in Lawrence, MA.

Claudia held many positions over the years many of which were always centered around caring for her family first. Later in life she held administrative positions for Dr. Mai Nguyen and Dr. Venugopal Saddi in Methuen, MA.

Claudia has done so very much in her lifetime, but some of the most notable times were those spent with family and friends. From times taking road trips camping with her husband, kids and extended family to time spent up at “camp” in which we made many great memories and hosted reunions. Her favorite pastime was creating memories which we will treasure always and continue in her name.

Her passion was her family and in her later years her grandchildren most of all. Many times, she took them out gathering supplies for craft projects, going to yard sales and thrift shopping. Those were among some of her favorite things to do. Always coming back with a laugh or a story to tell.

Claudia was predeceased by her parents Clifford and Olive Watson and has now taken her place with them and her loving husband Robert Maguder and her loving son Christopher Maguder as well as several special nieces, nephews, family and friends in heaven.

She is survived by her loving son, Matthew and his wife Nicole (Croteau) Maguder. Claudia is also survived by her loving sister Dorothy (Watson) and the late Lenny Clarke, and her loving brothers and their wives, Peter Watson and his wife Carol, Robert Watson and his wife Ellen and Joseph Watson and his wife Anise. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren Katerina Maguder, Zachary Maguder and Myranda (Maguder) MacLean and her husband Lee Charles (Chuck) MacLean and so very many dear and loving nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and her dog Magoo.

The family of Claudia Maguder would like to extend a special expression of gratitude to the following people/places for their love and support through the last part of her journey: Dr. Mai Nguyen, Greystone Farm in Salem, NH and Community Hospice House of Merrimack, NH
