Claire Guay

Claire (Fiedler) Guay, 91 passed away on April 2, 2023 in Bedford, NH.  Claire was born and educated in Lawrence, MA.  She graduated from Lawrence High School class of 1950.  She was an active member of Mary Queen of Peace Church in Salem, NH where she taught 8th grade CCD. Claire will forever be remembered for her ministries at Logo’s, Harvest, DeColores Christian Book Stores and St. Basil’s Salvatorian Center. She was very active in the Cursillo movement where she was recognized as the “Button Lady”; she printed the name tags for Cursillo weekends for over 25 years.  

Claire is predeceased by her Husband, William H Guay, her brother, Bill Fiedler, sister, Marion (Fiedler) Laverty, sister- in-law, Barbara Cedrone and her son Brian Guay.

She is survived by her daughter Elaine Gordon, sister Arlene Lindquist, grandchildren, Kerriclaire Hodson, Christine Moore, Russell Desfosses Jr, Joseph Guay, Heather Guay, Sheyenne Drouin, and Amber White and ten great-grandchildren. 

Claire lived an elegant lifestyle while maintaining her modesty.  She loved shopping at the Salvation Army which she jokingly referred to as Sal’s Boutique.  She lived one day at a time and always said if it’s not done with love then it’s not worth doing at all.  “At the hour of my death, call me and bid me come to you” — John Paul II Letter to the Elderly
