Caleb J. DaSilva

Caleb James DaSilva passed away unexpectedly on July 17, 2023. He was born in Boston, MA on January 9, 1996. He was the beloved son of Maria (Nelia) and Manuel J. DaSilva. A brother to Dylan DaSilva, uncle (TiTi) to Audrina and Colton DaSilva, and a beloved grandson to Maria Albertina Dutra. Caleb also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins here in New England, Portugal and in California.

Caleb grew up and attended high school in North Reading, MA and moved to Salem, NH in 2017 to be closer to his family's business, brother, niece and nephew, and eventually his parents. Caleb had an immense amount of pride for his family's business and worked for the company as CFO and Business Office Manager.

Caleb's interests and hobbies included playing and watching sports, especially soccer, in particularly his favorite team Benfica from his family's home country of Portugal. He enjoyed electronic dance music, DJ’ing and attending concerts and festivals. Spending time with family and friends was especially important to him. Going on long car rides, recently along with his mother they attempted to travel every major roadway in New Hampshire, which they had almost completed. Caleb especially had an interest in entrepreneurship and had a goal of starting his own venture, which recently he took steps to do so. Caleb was recently on a weight loss journey, and he had already lost 52 pound and was excited to keep going. Caleb loved vacationing, especially to his family's homeland of the Azores, Portugal in particular the island of Graciosa, where his family has a home. Caleb was a very spiritual person, and often spoke about and was passionate about the subject. Caleb was extremely excited to see and experience the completion of Tuscan Village in his hometown of Salem, NH.

Though he left this Earth far too early, we will carry his memory with us forever and always.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday July 24, 2023 from 10 am to 12:30 pm at the Goundrey Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH. A Funeral Mass will follow at 1:00 pm on Monday in Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence Road, Salem, NH.
