Arthur D. Timmins – Windham, NH

Arthur D. Timmins 82, of Windham, NH, formerly of Walpole, MA, passed away Feb 7, 2024. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Doris, sister Joan Griffithe and husband, Ken of Huntington Beach, CA, sons Donald and wife, Carolyn of Foxboro, MA, Patrick of Londonderry, NH; grandsons Christopher and Mitchell, great grandchildren, Kaylee and Thomas Timmins, sister-in-law, Edith C. Hinds of Gilford, NH and many nieces and nephews.

Arthur “Don” graduated from Norfolk County Agricultural School, Walpole, MA in 1958; attended Wentworth Institute, Lincoln Institute and graduated Northeastern University. He continued taking classes throughout his life. Arthur loved anything with an engine that went fast. He learned to fly multi-engine planes and earned a commercial pilot's rating in 1997.  He began his career at E. H. Hinds, Inc, as a millwright out of Local 1121, traveling extensively throughout the US and overseas. The company was eventually acquired by Atlantic Plant Maintenance, a wholly owned subsidiary of GE.  After 5 Years, he left GE and started his own business working from his home shop until he retired.

Arthur was a man of many talents and interests. He loved flying, agriculture, architecture, fitness and art and often visited Boston’s North End and Key West, FL.  Already he is deeply missed by his family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
