Ann Garabedian

Ann (Callahan) Garabedian, 85 of Salem, NH passed away on April 19, 2020 at Mary Immaculate Health Center, Lawrence of complications from the Coronavirus. Mrs.Garabedian was born in Cambridge, MA to Joseph Callahan a native of Ireland and Louise (Larsen) Callahan a native of Nova Scotia. She attended St Mary’s Elementary and High School in Cambridge, MA. During high school Ann worked at Mass General Hospital where she graduated as a nurse and that is where she met her future husband, Sarkis “Sam” Garabedian. They were married September 8, 1957.  Three years later Ann and Sarkis built a house in Salem, NH. They had six sons and their family grew. Ann was a very good mother and this quality was passed on to Ann’s Day Care Center, which she operated for 30 years. She took care of infants and pre-school children. Ann enjoyed camping and, for many years, residing in Dover, FL during the winters.

Her family members include her husband, Sarkis, and her sons; Martin and his wife Barbara Garabedian, David and his wife Kendra Garabedian, Steve Garabedian, John and his wife Andrea Garabedian, William and his wife Saryna Garabedian, and Brian Garabedian and his partner Paul. Ann also leaves her brothers Dennis Callahan and Paul Callahan, her sister Helen Edwards, and her 5 grandchildren Kristen, Matthew, Michael, Jeffrey, and Melissa.
