Andrew Mojkowski Obituary

Andrew J. Mojkowski “Mojo”, age 61, passed away unexpectedly on July 16, 2025.

Born and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts, Andrew was a proud United States Marine, a devoted father, and a lifelong educator who made a lasting impact on generations of students.

He graduated from Cathedral High School, where he was a standout swimmer, especially known for his powerful backstroke and one of the top athletes in the state. He later became a Golden Gloves boxer and carried that same discipline and grit into every chapter of his life.

Andrew served his country with honor as a Marine and brought that same loyalty, structure, and strength to his work as a teacher. He taught across the globe, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Guam, Okinawa, and most recently at the Arts Academy of New Hampshire. History was his true passion, and he had a gift for bringing it to life in the classroom. He was deeply loved by his students and colleagues alike.

He loved the ocean, was open-water scuba certified, and was a proud member of the Guam Historical Society. He had a lifelong passion for history, boxing, soccer, and most of all, for his family.

Andrew is survived by his beloved wife Rhonda of 28 years, and his daughters Natasha, Katrina, Lydia, Victoria, and Sophia. He was the proud “Jaja” to his granddaughter Baker, and “Gramp Gramp” to Allisyn and Kyle.

He also leaves behind his brother John, sister-in-law Melanie, their daughters, and a large extended family of many cousins, aunts, and uncles whom he considered some of his closest friends.

Andrew was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Helen Mojkowski, and his sister, Mary Ellen Mojkowski.
