Amy (Halloran) Escott, 47, of Derry, NH passed away peacefully at home after a courageous 3 ½ year journey with cancer surrounded by her loving family on September 20, 2022.  Amy was born on August 8, 1975, the daughter of Robert and Rose (BelleIsle) Halloran in Lawrence, MA.  She graduated from Presentation of Mary of Academy in Methuen, MA and then went on to earn a BA from the University of New Hampshire while also running cross country.  She graduated from the Middlebury Bread Loaf school of English with a master’s degree where she then pursued a career in teaching.

At the time of her diagnosis, Amy worked at Methuen High School as a 10th grade English teacher.  She was thoroughly devoted to her students and colleagues and loved being a mentor and friend to all.  In her spare time, Amy enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening, running and most of all spending time with family and friends.

Amy leaves behind her beloved husband of 12 years, Marc Escott and their 2 children, John (11) and Violet (9).  Amy’s greatest joy was watching her kids grow and thrive in all that they pursued.  They will forever be the light of her life.

Her surviving family includes her mother Rose (BelleIsle) Halloran, her brother John Halloran and his partner Kimberly White-Mills of Derry, NH.  Her sister Elizabeth (Halloran) Roope and her Husband Jason of Arundel, ME and her brother Paul Halloran and his wife Liz of Plaistow, NH.  She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins who loved her dearly.
