Theodore (Ted) LaFrance, 93 of Salem NH, passed away on July 26, 2017 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.

Ted was born on June 26, 1924 in Lawrence, Massachusetts and grew up in North Andover. He enlisted with the Navy immediately after Pearl Harbor, and served during WWII and North Korea. He was a lifetime member of the VFW.

He married "The Love of His Life" Annette Jean Blezinski, and the two were married for 68 years. His beloved wife passed away in 2012.

They had 6 children: John LaFrance & his wife Kathy, Robert LaFrance & his wife Susan, Keith LaFrance & his wife Denise, Kevin LaFrance & his wife Cynthia, Sharon LaFrance and Cathy Lyle. Ted was the grandfather to 8 children, and great-grandfather to 10 children.

He worked for Avco most of his career as a machinist, and later on for the government as an assistant engineer. After retiring he volunteered preparing tax returns for the elderly. His favorite pastimes were spent hunting and fishing.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 31, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Goundrey & Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH 03079.
