Richard "Rick" Bell

Rick Bell, 48, passed away unexpectedly on December 15, 2018.  Born on July 7, 1970 in Danvers, MA, Rick and his wife of 18 years, Kelly, have made their home in Salem, New Hampshire since 2006.  Rick was a professional fabricator and owner/operator of FBN Plastics in Salem.

An avid BMX racing enthusiast, car aficionado, pizza lover, devoted partner and true friend, Rick was universally loved by most humans and all cats. A thoroughly good man, Rick was always there to help a friend or neighbor in need. He leaves us realizing the opportunities we have to be better people in tribute to him and an awesome pair of Vans that will be impossible to fill.

Rick is survived by the love of his life, Kelly Rota; his mother Kathleen Hoffman; sister Patricia Nihan; father, Gregory Bell; siblings Greg Bell, Sherry Bell, Melissa Bell, Chris Bell; and many friends.
 

Visiting hours will be Wednesday, December 19 from 5pm-9pm.  As most of you know, Rick collected stickers. In celebration of his life and his many interests, we will be covering the casket in stickers and welcome you to bring a sticker that holds meaning to you or reminds you of Rick in some way. There will also be blank stickers available for those who wish to draw a picture or write a personal message. A Celebration of Life for Rick will be held on Thursday at 10am, with the emphasis on celebrating Rick. You are welcomed to attend and share a funny or silly story about Rick.  Rick believed in living your passions.  In tribute to that, dress is entirely as interests you.  Come in your work clothes, BMX t-shirts, car t-shirts, suit, jeans or whatever makes you comfortable.

In lieu of flowers, the family is seeking to support the sport he so loved. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home for contributions to the Rick Bell Memorial BMX Fund. We will setup a system for electronic contributions at a later date.
