Margaret (Hamilton) Northup

Margaret Northup, 91, of Methuen, MA passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018 at the Berkeley Retirement Home in Lawrence.

Margaret, a lifelong resident of Methuen, was born on January 23, 1927 to the late Alexander and Hannah (Carlyle) Hamilton. She graduated from the Edward F. Searles High School in 1944. Margaret was a member of the New Hope Methodist Church in Methuen and participated in the church choir. She worked as a key punch operator and retired from Bon Secours Hospital. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and she loved her cats.

Margaret was the widow of Robert F. Northup. She is pre-deceased by her sisters, Sarah Malcom and Betty McConnell. She leaves her daughter, Deidra-Lee Lambert, grandchildren, Jayson and Heather Lambert, and several nieces and nephews.

Her family extends a special thank you to the staff at  the Berkeley Nursing  and Compassus Hospice for their kindness and caring.

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 10 AM on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
