Margaret Hagopian, 94 passed away on September 2, 2019 at Mary Immaculate Nursing and Restorative Center, Lawrence. Margaret was born in Lawrence on January 15, 1925. She was raised in Lawrence and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. Margaret was a member of Hope Congregational Church of Lawrence and St. Gregory Armenian Apostolic Church of N. Andover. She was a clothing worker in Boston for many years before moving to Meadowbrook Laundry in N. Andover to work as a payroll clerk. Margaret was a 50 year member of The Armenian Relief Society of the Merrimack Valley and the Arax Chapter and the Compatriotic Union of Habousi
Her family members include her sister-in-law Mary Hagopian of Lawrence, her nephew Arthur Hagopian and husband James Reardon of Boston and her nieces Gail Scott of Salem, NH, Lynn Scott of Cleveland, Ohio, Sandy Frazier of Salem, NH, Debbie Titone and her husband Vinnie of Methuen and Amy Metcalf and her husband James also of Salem, NH. She also leaves 6 great nieces, 5 great nephews, 4 great great nieces and 4 great great nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her brothers, Arthur Hagopian, Leo Hagopian and Michael Hagopian and his wife Helen. She was also predeceased by her sister Marguritte Hagopian and her niece Cheryl Hagopian and nephew Pete Frazier.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday September 12, 2019 from Noon to 2 pm at the Goundrey & Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH. A service will follow the calling hours at 2:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
